This page is dedicated to all the current theories about Guardians.

This can include theories about their purpose, where they come from, why they are here… anything related to them. Some Guardian pages contain theories related to those specific guardians. They will also be linked here.

General Guardian Theories

• If such a thing as soul groups exist, it's been posited that perhaps Guardians and those they guard belong to the same soul group and generally have known each other for as long as they have existed as souls. When one is incarnate the other is either watching over them or incarnate with them in the form of a friend, family member, or foe.

• It has been suggested that Guardians have some sort of symbiotic relationship with their charges. They might draw upon the energies of others, or bond with those whom have complementary personalities.

• As to why Guardians seem to come and go, there are several motivations that have been brought up. The first is that they simply appear only when truly needed, although exactly what they are needed for is still open to debate. The second is that they are fully independent beings whom are capable of leaving at any time they choose. And yet a third theory suggests that they are merely "away", performing other actions elsewhere.

• One person's Guardian claims to have once been human, and that he is paying for his sins with this position.

• It is also possible that Guardians are merely personality fragments of those they watch. This is being actively investigated, as the actions of Guardians occasionally seem to be at odds with what might be termed the "host" personality.

• Several Guardians respond strongly to certain musical pieces, there may be a relation between the two.
